NEW DELHI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Narendra Modi himself will lead the country in the future. He was responding to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's remark that Modi's turn is over and he will have to retire at the age of 75. Amit Shah told the media that there is no confusion in the BJP and Modi will continue this time and in the future.
'Nowhere in the party constitution has it been said that one should vacate the post after the age of 75. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself will complete this cycle, Modi himself will lead the country in the future," added Amit Shah.
Arvind Kejriwal's reference was made while speaking at a press conference after being granted interim bail in the liquor case. Kejriwal alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has initiated the 'One Nation, One Leader' mission and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's political career will end soon. "Political careers of Advani, Murali Manohar Joshi, Shivraj Chauhan, Vasundhara Raje, Manohar Lal Khattar and Raman Singh are over. Yogi is next. If Modi wins the next election, he will remove the UP chief minister within two months," Kejriwal said.
Kejriwal said that if the BJP-led NDA comes to power again after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Chief Ministers Pinarayi Vijayan, MK Stalin and Mamata Banerjee will be jailed. He added that the NDA government will not remain in power at the centre after June 4. The INDIA front will form the government at the centre. AAP will be a part of it. He also clarified that full statehood will be given to Delhi.
